SCOUT & BUNNY
The Bunny Programme is a part of the Scouts and Guides program for children aged 3 to 6 years: The group is called Tamtola and is open to both boys and girls. A Tamtola group has a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 members. The Bunny Law is "I shall try to be a good boy/girl". The Bunny Salute is made by raising the middle and forefinger of both hands along the side of the ears. A Bunny apron is worn over a school uniform or other dress. The apron has a Bunny symbol on a bright background. The program is based on four sign posts: love for God, love for nature, creative activities, and learning to play together. The program helps children develop habits of personal cleanliness and manners, be courteous, and cultivate social virtues. The program was introduced by Mrs. Lakshmi Mazumdar, the former National Commissioner, during the International Year of Child. The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political, and secular organization.
Motto: The motto is "Keep Smiling".
